Emma Ballantyne | Maternity Nurse in London

As you can see from the picture, I’ve had an interest in caring for babies since I was very young (I’ve been told that I still hold the babies I care for in the same way to this day)!

My professional approach as a maternity nanny and newborn care specialist is influenced by my upbringing in beautiful New Zealand where we were always outdoors exploring.

As a Maternity Nurse, my style of care is positive, yet down to earth, and is influenced by Montessori approaches.

I firmly believe there is no “one-way” to raise a child, and my intention is to give every new family the confidence to do things their way.

My maternity nanny approach to support parents.

My approach as a Maternity Nurse and Newborn Care Specialist is to support you and your family as you adjust to life with your baby. I will be your sounding board for any bumps you experience along the way.  The Montessori principles of independence, freedom to explore and letting children express themselves is at the core of my approach as a whole.

Throughout the years I have continuously updated my knowledge through regular CPD courses. Being a trained Postnatal Carer means I am specialised in working with babies from newborn to 6 months. In addition to my Postnatal Carer training, I have also completed courses related to Breastfeeding Support, Postnatal Depression, Sleep Consultant training, Reflux and Early Allergies, Behaviour Basics, Pre and Post Birth Complications, Maternal Complications, and Respectful Care approaches with children.
